Team viewer is an amazing remote desktop alternate, fairly easy to use and implement even by newbies

Installation Steps:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once Installation finishes Team Viewer window will open

 

 

Get the ID & Password of the remote machine you want to connect to, type it in the ID box on left pane and click connect to partner. When prompted provide password.

 

 

It's that easy, no need to open and forward ports on router and no need to set up incoming connection through firewall like Windows Remote Desktop

If you would like to set this up on a computer that you access frequently from a remote location, ex: accessing home computer from work, set up a permanent password like this and keep the remote machine turned on.

 

Go into Extras > Options and General Tab to set up a permanent password, you can also set up Team Viewer to start up when windows start so that it is always active.

 

 

Team Viewer can also be used for remote file transfer and presentation.
