Steps to restore Windows startp boot sectors
 
1) Download the startup repair CD here and using poweriso make a bootable cd
 
2) Put the CD in drive and boot from CD ( VARIES FROM MOTHERBOARD TO MOTHERBOARD but usually is one of these keys to boot from CD, F2, F6, F8, F11, F12). Keep hitting one of these keys while restarting the computer until you see an option to select CD drive to boot from. then hit any Key when prompted to "Hit any key to boot from CD"
 
3) Once a successful boot from CD is achieved follow these steps

1) Press any Key to Boot from CD

2) Wait for Windows Repair CD to load up

3) Click next with following settings enabled

4) Click on repair option

5) CD will search for active Windows installations

6) Once Windows 7 boot sector is found click next

7) Windows will atempt an automatic startp repair
 
 
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8) Click finish and see if the automatic startup repair fixed boot problems

9) If the preivous steps didn't solve the boot problems, boot from CD again and follow steps till 6th step. Then click on startup repair. This will again bring up automatic repair like step 7 and 8. See if that fixes the boot problem.

10) If the previous steps didn't solve problem follow steps 1 - 6 and select command prompt

11) In command prompt Window type following command (bootrec.exe /fixmbr) and hit enter. there is a space between bootrec.exe and /

12) Again type this command (bootrec.exe /fixboot) and hit enter

13) Again type thi command (bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd) and hit enter

These steps should fix all boot problems as we have completely rebuilt the boot partition which was causing problems. If problems still persist, re-imaging the system with Acronis backup will be the only remaining option.
